After hearing reports of Jack Wilshere’s comments on Cesc Fabregas returning to Arsenal, here are three reasons why the Gunners should make a move.
1) Creativity
Cesc Fabregas is one of the the most inventive players across Europe, and to implement his skills into the current Arsenal set up would be brilliant for the club. With Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain running off him, and Mesut Ozil and Santi Cazorla playing around him, Arsenal would have one of the most creative frontlines in the Premier League.
Fabregas has made 58 key passes this season which includes 13 assists.
2) Real quality
Fabregas has everything you could want from a central midfielder. He has the motor that allows him to get around the pitch, but his tactical awareness allows him to read the game brilliantly and stay put if needed.
He can play in a defensive role, breaking up play, or can linger behind the strikers, threading balls through to them. He can also play as the spearhead of the attack in a false 9 formation.
He has the awareness, the technique and the vision to make a strong impact in any side.
3) Relationship with the club
The Spain international progressed through the Arsenal youth ranks and spent eight years in the first team. He skippered them and had a very strong relationship with the supporters, and I am sure they would welcome him back.
