Cavani To Replace Suarez At Liverpool? Why Reds Must Not Be Naive About Uruguay Internaitional

I don’t care how you argue against it – there is not a player on the planet that could fill Luis Suarez’s boot at Liverpool, that the club could realistically sign. The little south American has been sensational over the last year or two and Brendan Rodgers must know that he must keep hold of him. Reports are coming in that if he goes, Edinson Cavani, Suarez’s compatriot, will take his place at Anfield. I would suggest that they forget about it.

Suarez surpasses Cavani in every way and Liverpool would be naive to think he could fill the little man’s boots.

Suarez has got his head down and worked hard this season and has scored 31 goals in 34 games as a result. Suarez is able to weave in and out of defences, make space for himself and bring others into play, all in a single move, and is unique in the way he plays.

Cavani is a heavier forward who likes to play on the shoulder, drop deep and looks for balls into the box, but rarely does the creating himself.

Suarez has 12 assists to his name this season and has had 181 shots at goal – Cavani has scored 16 goals, has just two assists and has managed just 96 shots in his 30 games.

Please Rodgers, just concentrate on keeping Suarez.
