Liverpool Watching Emre Can: What Could Bundesliga Star Offer The Reds?

At 20 years of age, Emre Can is starting to carve out an impressive career in professional football. Having come through the Bayern Munich academy, Can is now an established midfielder in the Bayer Leverkusen and is attracting interest from some of Europe’s elite. Liverpool are said to be watching the youngster, so here is what he could offer them.

The Germany U21 star is a central midfielder who likes to keep things moving, by playing balls into the wide areas and bursting forward with the ball should nothing be on. He is exceptionally talented with the ball at his feet and has superb ball control.

He can also play at left-back, which would provide some much needed cover in that position, and in an attacking position down the wing.

Last season he played 29 Bundesliga games for the club, he scored three and set three up, while completing an average of 2.5 dribbles per game.

He is certainly a player Liverpool should want on their books, and I am sure Rodgers will be doing a bit of digging this summer.
