Being a Manchester United fan, I am naturally excited about the season ahead having witnessed the garbage served up last season. We now have the chance to restore our reputation under Louis van Gaal but we need a complete overhaul in my opinion. Here is how I would start that transition if I was in charge.
The first thing I would do is move for Cesc Fabregas as it is reported he is available for £30m.
The Spain international would be a superb addition to the middle of the field as he would add technique, vision and would act as an inventive spark.
Beside him I would look to sign Paul Pogba of Juventus as he is the physical force they are lacking.
He is aggressive, can tackle and is good with the ball at his feet, and would be the perfect partner for Fabregas in the middle of the pitch, in my eyes.
The third change to the midfield is Tom Cleverley, who I would look to get rid of. I think he has out-lived his time at Old Trafford and would be too far down the pecking order to keep on the wage bill.
