Vidal is the player that will complement Herrera perfectly. The Chilean is having a great summer in Brazil as he has admirably led his country to qualification to the last 16 of the World Cup. In terms of his domestic campaign, he was at the heart of Juventus’ Scudetto victory last season. He is such an important player for club and country and his performances bring success. The 27-year-old could do the same at United and that is why van Gaal is after him.

Vidal is one of the best box-to-box midfielders in the world and what allows to lay claim to that title is the fact that he is excellent in every department. He is defensively sound, a danger in attack, intelligent and brave, as well as having a certain amount of flair and creativity, an eye for goal and a superb range of passing. It is rare that you find such a complete midfielder, but you have that with the Juventus star and that is why he could fire United to Premier League glory next season.
