Marco Reus Linked With Manchester United – What Fans Would Expect From The German Midfielder
The latest name to be linked with a move to Old Trafford this summer is Marco Reus. According to the Express, incoming Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is interested in bringing the 25-year-old to his new club.
After unfortunately missing out on Germany’s World Cup squad through injury, the midfielder has had to sit and watch his country dominate the competition in Brazil on route to the final. A move to United, though, could end his summer on a more positive note.
Reus is currently at Borussia Dortmund having joined from Bundesliga rivals Borussia Monchengladbach in 2012. Very much an attacking player, he scored 41 goals for his former club and has so far managed to better that by one with Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Funds are reportedly available to van Gaal, which is part of the reason there has been so much speculation surrounding United in this transfer window. After last season’s failure, there is also the possibility that those who failed to impress could be moved on to add to the money available for spending.
A new-look Manchester United side is set to take on the Premier League in the upcoming campaign. If Reus is a part of it, fans will hope he makes more of an impact than the signings of this time last year.
