Transfer Blow: €55m Chelsea and Liverpol target wants to stay at club

Radamel Falcao is back! After the Colombian scored the winner for Monaco last night against Nantes, the nouveau riche French side got their first win of the season after two successive defeates on the trot. The sensational striker who has been linked with a move away from France claimed that he is happy to stay at the club and pursue to pursue his career at Monaco for the next season.

Trusted and reliable Italian website Gianluca Di Marzio reportedly quoted the player saying, “Today’s victory was an important one, especially since we were playing an excellent team like Nantes. The future? I hope to stay, I’m happy here.”

Falcao has been eternally linked with Chelsea over the past few season while Liverpool were also interested in the player but the Reds eventually moved for Mario Balotelli from AC Milan. Earlier it was expected that Falcao could pursue his career in the Premier League with Brendan Rodgers likely to press ahead with a loan deal to bring the 29 year old to Anfield.

Chelsea were earlier interested in the sensational striker but now that they have signed Diego Costa to strengthen their attacking department, the Blues’ interest has died down with Mourinho now also bringing back Diier Drogba back to Stamford Bridge

Serie A Champions Juventus  were also looking to bring the former Atletico Madrid player player after Fernando Llorente had failed to make an impact for the Bianconeri since his arrival from Basque based club Atletic Bilbao. With however Carlos Tevez already in the ranks, the old Lady want to retain their Serie A crown.

The €55m rated player  had his heart set for Real Madrid but the Galacticos weren’t inclined to bring the player after spending a massive fortune this summer. This comes despite Madrid having significant interest in the player with French media outlet Le Equipe reporting that Falcao was close to reach an agreement with Monaco and join Real.
