€20m Arsenal and Chelsea target proud of summer transfer

Former Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata who joined Juventus in the summer feels that he took the right decision by switching loyalties in the transfer market. The talented Spaniard had grown tired by sitting on the bench regularly and felt he needed a move away from the Spanish capital to carry on his flourishing career. The striker made his debut for the Old Lady in a 2-0 win over Udinese last weekend and already feels more trust and faith in his ability from those at Real.

Morata claims, “At Juve I feel very important.Turin is the best place I could be. I get the confidence I needed. Now my only goal is to be as happy as possible in Turin. The objective this year is to be a real option for the coach-Massimiliano Allegri. “Honestly I couldn’t be better. I’m delighted to be here. I feel important. I love the city, the lads have given me a really warm welcome and everything’s going fantastically. This is the best place I could be”

Morata had attracted keen interest from Arsenal and Chelsea in the summer but reflected that he didn’t think twice to join the Bianconeri. It has been widely known that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was looking for a striker to provide able support Olivier Giroud up front but failed to sign the player despite tracking him for long.

Morata ultimately cost €20 million for the reigning Serie A Champions and the 21-year-old seems settled in his new home.
