(Pictures) Chelsea Stars Train Hard Ahead Of The Champions League Trip Including Diego Costa

Chelsea players were pictured training hard ahead of their Champions League trip to Sporting Lisbon in midweek. Jose Mourinho’s side sit atop the Premier League standings with 16 points from 6 matches after beating Aston Villa by 3-0 in the past weekend.

The Daily Star have also reported that star striker Diego costa was in training with Chelsea this morning – despite Jose Mourinho claiming he is “doing almost nothing” between games. Costa scored his eight League goal for the on Saturday.

Mourinho revealed how he is being forced to rest the striker to manage his hamstring injury concerns.

The Blues drew 1-1 against German outfit Schalke in the first match day of the Champions League but will now look to get the win as they travel to Portugal.

John Terry is poised to make his 100th Champions League appearance in the Group G’s second match. Sporting Lisbon however sit seventh in Primeira Liga after an unbeaten start to the Portuguese season with two wins and four draws from six matches.
