The German international’s contract expires in the summer, and since there are no contract talks ongoing between Khedira and the club, a move might happen in January. Khedira’s 4-year spell at Real Madrid has been an injury-ravaged one as he never really realized his full potential there. With the addition of Toni Kroos in the summer and the presence of the impressive Luka Modric, it’s highly unlikely that the former Stuttgart man will ever get regular first team action.
Arsenal and Manchester United have been linked with Khedira, and a move to either club will suit him nicely. Real will want to sell him in January for a cut-price fee as they’ll not want to lose him for nothing in the summer.
