Manchester plot move to sign £30m Arsenal target

According to reports from British Media Outlet DAILY EXPRESS, Monaco midfielder Joao Moutinho is keen to leave the French side and force his way to the Premier League. The Portuguese midfielder is reportedly unhappy with Monaco’s transfer dealings as the club let go superstars James Rodriguez and Radamel Falcao in the summer. The 28 year old has also been angered ver his wages, which have been reduced thanks to the club’s new policy.

It is believed that his well know agent Jorge Mendes is plotting a move away from Monaco in the upcominh January transfer window for his client. Moreover the trusted and reliable Spanish outlet Fichajes have claimed that Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea are all interested in the player and would like to see the creative playmaker in their team.

United will definitely look to buy another creative midfielder in January while manager Louis Van Gaal would also want to sort out his defensive back line helping himself to a quality centre back. Chelsea however might not be interested as they have a plethora of attacking talent at their disposal and have earmarked Marco Reus as their primary transfer target.

Should both the clubs decide not to puruse their interest in Moutino, Arsenal thus could have some advantage to secure the signing of the player. But will manager Arsene Wenger splash £30m on the player? Do Arsenal really have the transfer kitty to afford another significant signing? Another question is do Arsenal require a creative midfielder when they have a lot of attacking players already in their squad?
