January Transfers: Italian Giants Ready To Accept Manchester United’s bid For Dutch Enforcer

Since the arrival of manager Louis van Gaal at the start of the season, Manchester United have grown in stature and now stand at third place in the points table. The manager has added many new players to the squad like Angel Di Maria, Daley Blind, Luke Shaw and quite a few more after the departure of a few old ones. Now, the Dutch manager has more plans of further additions in January with injuries being a major concern and the need for reinforcements to challenge for titles. In context to one such target, Italian giants AC Milan are now set to accept bids for their Dutch midfielder Nigel De Jong from clubs including Manchester United who are keen on signing him. Van Gaal has been scouting a lot of Dutch players over the last few months and is now interested in signing the for Manchester City and Holland international from Milan. The 30 year old De Jong is out of contract at the end of the season and the Italian side does not intend to let him leave for free.

Manchester United was linked with  the Dutch star during the summer but the move could not be completed at that time. The Rossonerri are now interested in offloading a long list of players to buy new ones and De Jong is on top of that list. De Jong has previously hinted he wanted a  move to Old Trafford to play  alongside his Dutch national team manager Louis van Gaal and a move could materialize out quite soon. The Italian giants are ready to sell  the midfielder provided that the offer is right and United are willing to spend. Putting it in simple words, if United come with a good offer for the player, Milan probably will not refuse. What happens next remains to be seen as the transfer market is always quite unpredictable.
