Arsenal are on the verge of making their first signing in the new year as a deal is about to be made for Polish defensive midfielder Krystian Bielik. The Gunners who have faced a lot of problems with injuries to their keys players are planning to add the seventeen year old teenage to their squad to strengthen it further. Manager Arsene Wenger who is well known for scouting young talents and developing them is keen on bringing this youngster to the Emirates. Bielik who plays for Legia Warsaw has made 5 appearances for them this year.
Arsenal made a bid for the former Polis U-16 international, but was rejected by the club. Wenger now wishes to make a new and improved bid in order to capture his intended target and bring him to the Premier League. Bielik who has caught Wenger’s eye had previously gone through a tour of Arsenal’s training ground at London Colney.
Player’s agent hinted that the move will happen soon.
“We are speaking and hopefully we will find a solution,” his agent Cezary Kucharski told Guardian sport.
Arsenal have been facing problems finding a strong player to play just in front of their defensive line and are looking at the youngster as a possible solution to their problems. Also, at the moment both Mikel Arteta and Mathieu Flamini, the first choice defensive mid-fielders are out injured. Flamini is expected to return soon but Arteta has been out for some time now and could take more time. Meanwhile, Wenger has turned to the Francis Coquelin to fill the void left due to the injuries. Even tough Krystian Bielik will not solve Arsenal’s midfield problems instantly, the rising star is the one to look out for in the future.
