The Premier League sides, who have been in the hunt for Palermo’s Paulo Dybala have received a boost in their chase for the talented player. Both Arsenal and Tottenham were in the hunt for the youngster and had competition from Italian champions Juventus. Reports now suggest that Juventus has left the race for the 21 year old as the Italian giants have been priced out of a deal for the striker.
Both Arsenal and Tottenham are fighting for a spot in the top four and wish to play in the Champions League next season, whereas Juventus are aiming for European glory, apart from the domestic silverware. The Gunners have had problems with a long list of injuries as they look to battle it out with their North London rivals and others for that important Champions League spot. Also Wenger would try to retain their FA CUP title and do more in Europe and the striker may provide them the ideal boost to do so. Spurs on the other hand, have performed well recently and wish to continue performing better in the near future.
Dybala has been quite impressive this season in the Seria A and has scored nine goals in his 17 appearances for the Italian side. This has earned him a comparison to Argentine national and has been called as the next Aguero by many. Juventus were keen on signing the Argentine who has been impressive as a long term replacement for Carlos Tevez, who has told the club that he has no intention to extend his contract beyond 2016. According to Tuttosport, Juventus have been priced out of the move after Palermo priced the young striker at £32m, which was unacceptable to the champions. Though the striker has been really good this season, the Seria A champions price him to being half of what Palermo are asking and may not show any interest in making a higher bid for the player.
