Manager Louis van Gaal would surely not be happy with his team’s performance against Southampton at Old Trafford last night, as his side lost the game 1-0 to a 69th minute Dusan Tadic goal. There was not much created by Manchester United in that game to trouble the Southampton defence and the defeat pushed Southampton up a spot to third, while United fell to the fourth spot. Now, the Dutch manager knows, if he is to maintain a top four position, he needs to quickly sort out things at the club, which include adding reinforcements in the January transfer window. United have been linked with a list of players, but no deals have been confirmed yet.
Manchester United are at the moment in the hunt for another young player to add to their squad. Besiktas winger Gokhan Tore is being scouted by United keeping a possible move in mind for the Turkish international. The 22 year old, who has made 22 appearances for Turkey has impressed the Dutch manager, who seeks to bring the former Chelsea man to Old Trafford.
Tore has been quite impressive this season and also featured for European clubs like Hamburg and Rubin Kazan. Though he is still very young, he seems to be a good prospect for the future and van Gaal would like to make him a part of his team. Another reason for United to be in hot pursuit of this young talent could be the fact that he is really versatile in his play and can also play as a wing-back. The player who joined Besiktas in the 2013 season is currently priced at £5million.
If reports are to be believed, United will go all guns blazing to sign the player who was with Chelsea’s youth team, with the hopes to finding a solution to their current problems and hope to start winning more games in the near future.
