Arsenal who have let star striker Lukas Podolski depart for Inter Milan at the start of this month, is set to lose another young striker as he is on the way to a Championship side in the next few days. BBC has reported that 21 year old Benik Afobe will be leaving the Emirates after Wolves have agreed a fee with Arsenal the youngster.
The England under-21 international, who joined Arsenal in 2010 has been away on loan since the start of his career with the Gunners. Afobe has spent this season with League One club MK Dons and has been quite impressive playing for them. He has smashed a total of 19 goals in 20 games for the side, which eliminated Premier League giants Manchester United from the Carling cup this year. While he was at the League One side, he caught the eye of Wolves boss Kenny Jackett, and the club got in touch with the Gunenrs. Afobe went through a medical last Saturday and should be available for selection for Wolves’ next game.
