Arsenal finally managed to beat a top four club in the past two seasons as they defeated defending Champions Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday. The City in the absence of central midfielder Yaya Toure looked completely out of sorts as the Gunners breezed past them 2-0 which puts them at the fifth spot, just a point behind fourth placed Manchester United. Toure is out of action till the second week of February as he is representing Ivory Coast in the African Confederations Cup in Guinea.
Santi Cazorla put the visitors ahead with a spot-kick and assisted the second goal for Oliver Giroud through set-pieces. Cazorla looked in ominous touch as he along with Francis Coquelin ran riot in the midfield which laid the foundation stone for the victory. The players and the fans cherished the victory and here are some of the tweets from the fans and the players.
