SHOCKING! LVG set to talk to 10 players regarding their future at Manchester United

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal and the board are on the verge of having talks, regarding  the future of 10 of the Red Devils superstars, as their contracts are set to expire soon. Mark Ogden of The Telegraph has reported that the futures of the likes of Robin van Persie, Radamel Falcao, David De Gea and Rafael are the topics of discussion.

Jorge Mendes, De Gea‘s agent, had previously told Spanish radio station Cadena Ser that a contract renewal was on the cards, who is still linked with a move to European champions Real Madrid. De Gea‘s current contract expires at the end of next season, so finalizing a deal for him, is United’s top priority. Samuel Stevens of The Independent had hinted that the club tried to sign Keylor Navas prior to his move to Real, during the summer, but later singed former Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes. Interest in other options could be the reason for third choice keeper Anders Lindegaard to be sold soon according to Ogden.

Further, whether Van Persie future is in doubts, as he continues to suffer with poor form. United might be looking to cash in on the 31 year old rather than asking him to commit. Ogden further added, “Falcao is struggling to convince that he merits a permanent move when his loan from Monaco expires in May.” Football writer Sam Pilger had also stated that the Colombian has been given a lot of opportunities to impress and has seen his last. The Dutch manager will further “look to sell” Javier Hernandez if Real don’t sign him permanently according to Ogden.

Manchester United fans shouldn’t be surprised to hear Jonny Evans is “most at risk” to be leaving Old Trafford. The Northern Irishman’s has been a wreck this season and his season has gone from bad to worse. Meanwhile, Chris Smalling and Phil Jones’ performances have hardly been any better, yet, they still have time to develop. Ogden suggests United “will listen to offers” for Rafael, who has failed to impress Van Gaal and Tom Cleverley is as good as gone, while Michael Carrick and Ashley Young are going to be rewarded extensions.
