Five of the under-21 players who have been impressive in the Premier League this season, and have been keeping established, big-name players out of the first-team at their cost.
1. Harry Kane
A North Londoner by birth, Harry Kane has broken into the Premier League by storm. He was one of the fringe players in Tottenham’s reserves and was on the verge of being axed from the club, but was given a chance last season by Tim Sherwood. He has taken advantage of the chance he has been given, after indifferent performances by Roberto Soldado and Emmanuel Adebayor. He has got 20 goals in 29 matches and has firmly established himself as one of England’s best young talent. He runs all over the pitch to get the ball and shoot it past the opposition as often as possible. He is a total striker with versatile skill sets.
