5. John Stones
John Stones was one of the talents to watch out for at the beginning of the season but had shown signs of inconsistency in Everton’s shoddy showing this season and his role was subsequently reduced. He has come back to form again and is a constant fixture in Everton’s defence now, on the right or as a centre-back. He has a commanding presence and is tactically aware, making tackles as and when required. He is being linked with a move away from a currently-fledgling club, but he could make his presence felt with constant appearances for Everton, instead of being left on the bench at bigger clubs. He can be a vital cog in the heart of the defence for Everton, and for England.
