Wow! Manchester United Are Ready To Pay £70m For Mystery Man?

According to reports from Sport1 in their Monday edition, it was claimed that Manchester United have upped their interest in the chase to sign Thomas Muller from Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich. The Red Devils have been looking to sign the German World Cup winner, ever since manager Louis van Gaal took over the club last summer.

The German international has not been at the best of terms with current Bayern boss Pep Guardiola and though the claims were blown away, there is always some truth in them.

It’s being further stated that Van Gaal is quite keen on bringing the 25-year old forward to Old Trafford, as the club are set to return to Champions League football.

Sport1 reports that an initial bid of €82m was rejected by Bayern and the Red Devils are now preparing an offer of €100m(£70m).

Well, it does not seem likely that the German giants would sell Muller after Bastian Schweinsteiger left the Allianz Arena, already this summer. However, fans of the Manchester based side would be hopeful that a deal can go through and the club can add such a high quality attacker.

Van Gaal has already suggested he’s in the market for a ‘mystery’ striker this summer. Could Muller be that mystery man?
