Arsenal’s injury list just became a bit longer once again with both Aaron Ramsey and Alexis Sanchez going off injured in the game against Leicester City, which might keep them out of action for a short time period. Despite the two injuries, Arsene Wenger looked more concerned about the Welshman, rather than the Chilean.
The Chilean international picked up a knock on the knee which looked serious, on which Wenger later commented ‘he was not himself’, after the incident and hauled him off on 68 minutes. Sanchez had earlier missed the North London Derby against Spurs and in his post-match Tweets sent out the message that he’d been a bit hasty in rushing back so quickly. Sanchez was eager to play the Leicester game and further added that ‘the love for the game’ blinds his senses at times.
Sometimes the love for the game and anxiety to be on a football pitch works against you ⚽️
