Spanish journalist Alfredo Duro had quite a spectacular tale to tell on football show El Chiringuito, which shocked the onlookers. Duro claimed that Real Madrid sensation Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes flew to Manchester last month, to meet up with Manchester United chief scout Martin Ferguson, brother of former manager Sir Alex Ferguson and proposed the return of Cristiano Ronaldo. Further when Ferguson relayed this offer to Dutch manager Louis van Gaal, the United manager rejected the offer, telling him that he didn’t want the 2015 Ballon D’Or winning superstar.
The ‘Ronaldo Returns to Manchester’ story has been speculated throughout the season and things really took off when some United held a banner high over a Real Madrid match in September, pleading Ronaldo to ‘come home’. These rumours had died in recent weeks, but this revelation will definitely resurface them once again. The show is considered to be notorious at times, for its slant on things, yet what happens next, remains to be seen.
