It may come as a surprise to many perhaps but seven teams have all had more than 12 different goal scorers in the current campaign, with Liverpool and Arsenal leading the way with 14 each. This was the data collected and processed prior to Liverpool’s game against Southampton at St Mary’s. As for The Gunners, they had a successful trip to Selhurst Park on Saturday, as thy beat Crystal Palace 2-1.
Returning to the list of goal scorers, league leaders Chelsea and second placed Manchester City both weigh in with 13 different goal scorers this campaign. Matching Chelsea and City with 13 scorers were sides like Newcastle and West Ham. Southampton came in at seventh place with 12 different scorers. The data did not show the amount of overall goals scored by each team this season. Chelsea and Man City have both scored 56 goals in 26 games this Premier League season, which has been the main factor in determining who stays at the top. Though on top of this list, Liverpool have only managed to score 36 league goals, while Arsenal have 49.
