Massive Transfer Boost For Manchester United As German Target Most Likely To Leave

Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund have now revealed that they will make a decision on the future of their midfield superstar Ilkay Gundogan ‘soon’. The club also admitted that there will be ‘changes’ in the summer. Premier League giants Manchester United have been trying to sign Gundogan and team-mate Mats Hummels for quite some time and will once again hope to complete a move, at the end of the current campaign. Jurgen Klopp’s decision to leave the club will surely play a part in whether the players stay at the club or not. Zorc gave an interview last week about his talks with United told Kicker,

“Gundogan’s situation isn’t straightforward, because his contract expires in 2016. There will be a decision soon.”

“As far as I know, Hummels’ contract still runs until 2017. We did not receive any offer that we should think about.”

“There will surely be some changes to the team this summer. Maybe more changes than in recent years. But we won’t radically change our team.”

Also Dortmund’s chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke had previously stated,

“If Ilkay tells us he doesn’t want to extend, then we’ll sit down and discuss it. But that hasn’t happened yet.”
