Weekend predictions

Last Saturday I attempted to predict the results for the Conference fixtures that weekend. As a reminder the correct result is 1 point the correct score is 2 points. Each week I will compare my score to the next week to see which league I am best at predicting.

It appears my predictions for the Conference aren’t that great as I only got 3 points. Clearly in football form isn’t necessarily important in predicting scores.

This week I am going to predict the scores for this weekend’s fixtures in League two.

Wimbledon v Rochdale (1-1)

Wimbledon haven’t won in four matches and Rochdale’s form is a bit hit and miss so I am going for a draw in this one.

Aldershot v Morecambe (1-2)

Aldershot are on a bit of a bad run and Morecambe are near the play-off spots so I feel Morecambe may just edge this one.

Bradford v Barnet (2-0)

Bradford are mid table and have won their first two home games and Barnet haven’t even scored away from home yet, this is why I feel Bradford will win this one.

Burton Albion v Oxford (2-2)

Both teams have similar inconsistency of form as well as that both teams have scored plenty of goals.

Cheltenham Town v Southend United (1-1)

Cheltenham are fairly strong at home where as Southend haven’t lost away yet this season.

Dagenham and Redbridge v Wycombe Wanderers (1-2)

Dagenham and Redbridge haven’t won in five matches and Wycombe have registered a win away from home already therefore they can possibly pick up an away win Saturday.

Exeter v York (1-0)

Exeter have won the last four matches and are second in the league. York sit just in the play-offs but I feel they may just be edged out of this one.

Fleetwood Town v Northampton (2-2)

Both teams are in similar positions in the table therefore this one could end a stale mate.

Gillingham v Bristol Rovers (2-1)

Gillingham are top and unbeaten where as Bristol Rovers are second from bottom. However you never know in football there could be a shock on the cards in this one.

Plymouth v Port Vale (1-2)

Port Vale are in form and third in the league, where as Plymouth are sitting mid table I feel that an away win is on the cards here.

Rotherham v Torquay (3-2)

These two sit next to one another in the league. I feel Rotherham will edge because of their home record and the fact that they haven’t conceded at home yet this season.
