Moses Finally Making Waves (Video)

Victor Moses’ carer finally looks to be heading in the right direction.

Nigerian international Moses moved to England aged 11 and was quickly snapped up by his local side, Crystal Palace. Having risen through The Eagles’ youth sides Moses made his senior debut in November 2007 and went on to make 15 more appearances in the same season, contributing 3 goals in the process.

During the 2008/09 season Moses played a more prominent role, particularly in the Championship, playing 32 times in all competitions but it wasn’t until the 2009/10 season that Moses could truly be considered a first team regular playing 21 games and scoring 6 goals.

Moses’ season with Crystal Palace was cut short, not by injury but by making the first move of his career. Having been linked with Arsenal it was surprisingly Wigan Athletic that that paid the £2.5 million to sign a highly rated 20 year-old.

2 and a half mostly uninspiring seasons in the Premier League followed and Moses only showed glimpses of the potential and talent which had highlighted in his youth but having appeared 79 times for The Latics scoring just 9 goals Moses was sold to Chelsea.

A fifth bid of £10 million was enough for Wigan to let the forward move to Stamford Bridge where the Nigerian’s pace, skill and direct wing play are becoming a main aspect of a new era in West London.
