Why score a normal goal when there is a more creative option available to you?
This is what I ask of all teams in Europe; add a little flair and madness to your games. It will throw teams off and, as such, will make scoring far easier. The more random the better, that is all I ask.
They could start by taking some tips from this Egyptian indoor football team. As you can see, the pretending to fall over but ‘I’m really assisting my teammate’ thing worked a treat and they were able to score a goal.
I can see it now: World Cup Final, 90th minute, England vs Brazil 1-1. England have a free kick on the edge of the area, England could win it here, this is it! Wilshere looks at the ball, he starts his run up….Oh! He’s tripped over. Disaster! Wait a minute, he’s knocked onto Gerrard who fires in the winner!
Totally conceivable, right?
