Serie A – Relegation Battlers

Bari vs Catania

There is still very much to play for at the top and bottom of the table with the exception of Bari who are at home against Catania. The “Biancorossi” are at the bottom with seven games left in the season and will take heart in their win away at Parma in their last outing. Parma had not lost in all 19 matches in the Serie A against Bari. There is no pressure on them winning as they have been written off already. Catania won the reverse fixture 1-nil, but Bari will still fancy their chances at home.

Cagliari vs Brescia

In a must win match away at Cagliari, Brescia will be looking for consistency after their win against Bologna. Status really is everything and if Brescia is going to maintain theirs in the Serie A anything less than a win will not do. Cagliari has a good home record against Brescia having won the last seven meetings between the two. History is what it is and that is the past, so if Brescia are to get anything from this match that is what they need to tell themselves.

Palermo vs Cesena

Except for the win at Milan, it has been a terrible period for Palermo who have lost four out of their last five games. This might be a good time for Cesena to be visiting the Rosaneri who are low in confidence. Palermo had a good 2009/2010 season finishing 5th it is unlikely that they will get a spot in Europe this year but they will want to try. A string of results for Cesena could see them survive with just a point separating them from 17th position.
