Close your ears Chelsea fans, Real Madrid are after one of your key men. Well, it’s only fair isn’t it? You are on the brink of snatching their manager and have been linked with numerous of their players, so if they take David Luiz off your hands for the £29.7m that the Express are reporting then I suppose that is fair enough, eh?
Luiz has been suggested as John Terry’s successor as Chelsea captain and if the Brazilian was to leave the club this summer then it would be a major kick in the nuts for all concerned.
The eccentric defender-turned-midfielder has previously suggested that it would be a pleasure to work with Jose Mourinho which squashed rumours that he would move to Barcelona, and now that the Special One is heading for west London it would be a surprising time for the 26-year-old to depart.
The move comes in the view that bullish defender Pepe will be arriving in the Premier League this summer after falling behind Rafael Varane and Sergio Ramos in the Madrid defence. But if you’re looking for a replacement for Pepe, then surely Los Blancos would be better off looking in the ranks of the WWE or MMA?
I am only joking, Pepe. Please don’t hurt me.
