Jose Mourinho has had a busy few weeks. From losing in the final of this year’s Copa del Rey to Real Madrid’s fierce rivals Atletico, he then departed the Spanish capital and is apparently on his way back to west London to take the helm at Chelsea. He has described the season just gone as the worst in his managerial career and has reportedly turned his attention to winning stuff in England. One man who he wants to help him do that is Galatasaray striker Burak Yilmaz, who is supposedly valued at around £20m.
Chicken feed to Roman Abramovic…
The Blues are desperate to add to their frontline after Demba Ba and Fernando Torres have failed to wow anyone this term, and names like Radamel Falcao, Edinson Cavani and Cristiano Ronaldo but all have reportedly preferred destinations. Yilmaz has plied his trade in his homeland Turkey his entire career and has flourished in his first year in the capital.
He has scored eight goals in the Champions League which has demanded attention from some of the biggest clubs on the planet after his 33 goals in 34 games in the previous season with Trabzonspor.
Fernando will be shaking his castanets in fear as we speak.
I have a feeling this is just another rumour that has been plucked from nowhere, but it is usually a case of whoever Chelsea enquire about, they get. Watch this space.
