Where would £30m striker fit into Arsenal’s side?

With the BBC reporting that Arsenal have had a £30m bid rejected for want away forward Luis Suarez, we have a look at where he would fit in should the move eventually transpire.

Now, we all know of Suarez’s talent in front of goal, his 23 league goals doing the talking for him, but he offers an incredible amount of fluidity in the frontline. He is capable of playing either in a wide role, in the number 10 role or as a centre-forward and is just as effective in any of those as the other.

On the left Arsenal currently have Theo Walcott, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Lukas Podolski at their disposal, but like Suarez they can all be deployed on either wing or up top, or in a central position in AOC’s case.

Word is that Gonzalo Higuain is edging closer to a move to the Emirates, but with Olivier Giroud and Yaya Sanogo already fighting for a place, where would Suarez fit in the striker role? There would be few who could argue that a Suarez-Higuain partnership wouldn’t be one of the most exciting in Europe should it happen and the Uruguayan himself would tell you he’s an out-and-out striker.

An interchangable front four in the shape below is what we’d expect should Arsene Wenger get his hands on his £55m strike partnership.
