While Arsenal were splashing the cash on one of the finest playmakers in world football in the shape of Mesut Ozil this summer, Manchester United were steadily flapping at everyone with a pair of boots. They eventually snapped up Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini and he’s proved to be a steady signing, but the Metro are reporting that David Moyes is still on the hunt for another.
The man they refer to in the piece – who United are is none other than the chap that everyone is talking about – Remy Cabella of Montpellier.
Last season the 23-year-old played 31 games and scored seven goals, but it’s creativity that he’s impressed everyone with. He created 58 chances last season and would like the likes of Michael Carrick to the attack.
He also amassed a pass accuracy 85% last season and hit the shot with 50% of his 44 shots.
This season has started how the last finished, with Cabella ripping apart defences. He has sculpted 15 chances and scored an impressive five goals in the eight Ligue 1 games that he’s played, and has had 19 shots at goal.
Although Moyes has Shinji Kagawa in his ranks, the Scot doesn’t seem a fan of the Japan international. Should Moyes want his services, however, it will reportedly cost the club in excess of £100m. Montpellier president Louis Nicollin slapped the valuation on Cabella’s head, who has also been likened to Zinedine Zidane.
Fill yer boots, Remy.
