Using Who Scored‘s Statistic system, here are Arsenal’s five most creative players in the Premier League this season in terms of the average number of key passes per game.
1) Mesut Ozil
It’s not really a surprise inclusion, is it? The German has been incredible since he arrived from Real Madrid in the summer and has made 24 key passes in his eight appearances, averaging three per game.
2) Theo Walcott
Although Walcott has been sidelined for some time now, the winger has still managed nine key passes in his four appearances, which spreads out to 2.3 per game.
3) Santiago Cazorla
The Spaniard was out for the early stages but has come back to rekindle the form we are now used to seeing from him. Cazorla has made 334 passes in general, while 13 of those have been key, averaging out to 1.9 per appearance.
4) Tomas Rosicky
Rosicky has been integral to the Gunners season so far and has chipped in with 10 key balls, which averages out to 1,7 per appearance. He has also completed 6/9 of his long balls and claimed an assist, which in his 4(2) appearances is no mean feat.
5) Olivier Giroud
The Frenchman was written off before the season had started but he has so far scored five, claimed four assists and made 17 key passes, which average out to 1.5 per game.
