Manchester United Pair On Fulham Radar, But What Could They Offer The Struggling Cottagers?

Fulham are in dire straits right now. The Cottagers sit inside the bottom three of the Premier League going into the international weekend and Martin Jol looks to have all the pressure mounted on his broad, Dutch shoulders. One way he is looking release himself of some of that is to swoop for Manchester United pairing Anderson and Wilfried Zaha, according to the Metro.

But what can they offer the London club?

Anderson has been labelled a bit of a flop by most but I believe he still has something to offer. The Brazilian is a strong, physical player who likes to run with the ball at his feet. He can also pass the ball nicely, with 84% of his passes being complete this season.

The 25-year-old is also renowned for his love of shooting from distance, which has had mixed response from United fans. He is an energetic player who isn’t afraid to get stuck in, and right now that’s exactly what Fulham need to make up for the luxury players in their squad. It could also compliment the stuff pairing of Steve Sidwell and Scott Parker.

Zaha is a player that not many people know a lot about, if the truth is told. Yes he warranted a large amount of money for United to pick him up from Crystal Palace, but unless you’re a fan of the Championship or the international scene, then I’m guessing that you’ve not seen too much of the chap.

He’s a direct player who is at his best when running at people. Zaha has the skill, the pace and the power to beat a man, but has continuously found himself lacking when it comes to the delivery.

This clip will tell you a bit about the former Palace winger, but in brief I think Fulham could do a lot, lot worse than to draft these two into the club.
