Real Betis are currently in a slump of form in the Spanish top tier – they are now without a win in seven games and have lost six of those – and they could now be losing one of their starlets to the Premier League, as 19-year-old Alvaro Vadillo is being linked – in an exclusive report by IBTimes – to a move to Arsenal.
But what could the winger offer?
He’s primarily a left-sided player who loves to run at opponents and whip balls into the box, but he’s struggled to find any form in his 10 appearances so far this season. He has made six key passes and claimed an assist on top of that, but that’s where his positives end.
He has completed just 66% of his attempted passes – although you could argue that as a winger that’s not essential – but he’s also only completed 13/49 take ons, which works out as just a 27% success rate.
Vadillo has also only hit the target with 29% of his efforts, which is important as a winger.
For me there are better options than the Spaniard, especially as he will be joining a stronger, rougher league than his current division.
