It promises to be a big week in the Championship again this time round, so here are my choice of five games which I think will provide the most entertainment.
Bournemouth vs Brighton
The early kick off sees the two seaside clubs go head to head on Sky in what is sure to be an exciting tie. Saturday’s hosts are in a bit of a slump right now – not winning in four – and will be keen to show their fans, and those who are watching – just what they’re capable. Oscar Garcia has seen his Brighton side win the last three in a row and climb to ninth as a result.
Blackburn vs Leeds
Rovers have had a mixed bag this season and are currently placed in 14th in the table, but a win could spring them up a few places. Leeds, on the other hand, have now won three on the spin and are sitting pretty in the play-off places with the league’s top scorer Ross McCormack in their roster.
Doncaster vs QPR
Harry Redknapp’s men have sunk to third over the last few games and will be desperate to go top this weekend, which a win and both Leicester and Burnley losing would do. Donny, though, are looking as if it’ll be another relegation struggle this season as they sit right down in 20th.
Leicester vs Millwall
The Foxes could go top with a win and have every chance in doing so, as Millwall have won just once in their last six. The London club currently sit in 18th in the league and have conceded a whopping 31 goals so far – worse than bottom of the league Yeovil.
Watford vs Yeovil
Which rolls us nicely onto my fifth choice, as Gianfranco Zola takes his men west to take on the club at the foot of the league. Watford are now without a win in five and will be hoping to use Gary Johnson’s men as a springboard to find their feet again, while Yeovil will be looking to stop their run of losses, which currently stands at three.
