Moyes Out: Why Manchester United Should Sack Former Everton Boss As Soon As Possible

Manchester United were forced to do the unthinkable in the summer and replace Sir Alex Ferguson in the seat he held for 27 years. In came David Moyes in what seemed like the natural choice, but despite the majority of United fans getting behind the former Everton man things haven’t gone to plan.

Their sluggish start of the season shows no signs of stopping as today they fell to their second home loss of the week, both of which they failed to score a single goal. Manchester United have lost the intimidation that they have held for so many years – where teams used to go to Old Trafford in fear of a thrashing, they now go knowing that they have a real chance of picking up a result.

Under Fergie you would back the Red Devils to score at least once in every game, both home and away, but at Old Trafford is was notoriously hard for opposition to come and play. Now, after the 1-0 loss to Everton and the defeat at the hands of Newcastle by the same score line, the entire nation are starting to question the club, and in particular Moyes.

It’s essentially the same team as last year – the season they finished as Champions, and although it’s not one considered by many to be the best in the league, it’s certainly better than what they are currently showing.

Moyes has struggled to gain respect in Manchester and that’s a crucial asset to gain from fans at any club. For me, Moyes has to go. Although he is under a long-term contract, it could be a case of the damage growing larger as the time goes on and with the club already 12 points behind leaders Arsenal having player an extra game.

United fans, do you agree?
