Goal.com say that Manchester United winger Wilfried Zaha will join Premier League strugglers Cardiff until the end of the season in a loan deal, which to me is a good move. Here are three brief reasons why I believe the switch would be a good for everyone involved.
1) Game time
Since arriving from Crystal Palace, Wifried Zaha is yet to make much of an impact at the club. He has made two bit-part appearances in the Premier League, and two more in the cup, but apart from that he has largely been looking on from the sidelines.
Should he complete his move to Cardiff, then he will surely be given a real string of games to get himself back to where he was when he was playing for Crystal Palace. It may take a while to shake the rustiness, though.
2) Cardiff’s relegation scrap
The Bluebirds are in real trouble right now. They sit bottom of the table after 22 games and are in need of a couple of victories to give them hope. They are joint on points with those directly above them though, which is a huge positive, and only a point of jumping out of the drop zone, but to do that they need all the quality that they need.
Zaha has the ability to make a real difference for the Welsh outfit.
3) form, morale & fresh start
The lack of game time resulted in poor form when he did take to the pitch, and his morale looked poor as well. A move away from United, where there is a lot of negativity, could do him the world of good.
