Shinji Kagawa has had a mixed time since joining Manchester United. Although he proved that he has a huge amount of ability, he flopped massively this season as David Moyes continued to play him out of position. Despite being linked away from Old Trafford, reports are suggesting that his agent has confirmed that he will stay at the club. Here are three reasons why it’s a good thing for United fans.
1) Creativity
The little Japan international played just 20 games and made 19 key passes in the time, as well as scoring six goals. Kagawa is the type of player who can spark an attack from nowhere wherever he is on the pitch, though he is a central player traditionally.
United need that creativity and inventiveness to feed the strikers.
2) The best is yet to come
We got a glimpse of what he could do at Borussia Dortmund, and then again when Juan Mata came into the club this season. But I thoroughly believe next season will be one of the biggest in his career, as it’s a now or never situation.
United fans should be excited.
3) New manager
Moyes didn’t find the right role for Kagawa, and neither did Sir Alex Ferguson to some extent. With a new manager coming in, he could slot into his natural position and become the player he once was.
