Liverpool need a couple of tweaks this summer in order to fight for the Premier League trophy next season. They came within touching distance last time round but their defence let them down, so here is how I would go about my transfer business if I were Brendan Rodgers.
The first thing I would do is move for Steven Caulker of Cardiff, who could very well be a Championship centre-back come the start of next season. He is far too good for the second tier and could sure up the Reds’ leaky backline.
I would also go for Pedro, who has been linked with a move to Anfield recently. The little Barcelona winger scored 15 La Liga goals last season in his 37 appearances.
He can play either side of the striker and could slot right in with the likes of Luis Suarez, Daniel Sturridge and Raheem Sterling.
I would also look to sign a decent number 2 to support Simon Mignolet. Perhaps Tom Kuszczak of Brighton, who is available on a free, could step in as second choice. He kept the most amount of clean sheets in the Championship last year and has won a Champions League.
What do you reckon, Liverpool fans?
