Arsenal players are on a roll by the scheme of things. The last two competitive matches the Gunners have fared in, they have added two trophies after a barren spell for eight long years. Arsenal added the Communit Shield by beating the reigning Premier League Champions Manchester City by 3-0 last Saturday at Wembley.
Szczesny who is set to face stiff competition from new signing David Ospina however is confident ahead of the brand new Premier League season. The 24 year old Pole who won the Golden Glove last season alongside Petr Cech for the most clean sheets believes that the Gunners can realistically mount a serious Premier League title challenge.
Szczesny also believes Arsenal have a strong squad and is the best of which he has been a part of in his time at the club. He also feels that Arsenal haven’t lost any key player which would be key for Wenger’s men to go all out in their quest for the EPL Trophy.
“Hopefully this squad will be the most successful one but looking at it on paper, it probably is the strongest one we have had. Except for Thomas [Vermaelen], we have not lost any key players and even though someone did leave on a free [Bacary Sagna], we have managed to replace them with good players. We are looking stronger and stronger and we are very happy with that.”
