England and Manchester United fans would be enormously ecstatic to have seen Wayne Rooney score a brace that took the Three Lions three points clear in group G days after claiming a hat trick that sent Manchester United top of the Premier League table for the first time this season.
The England striker who had wanted to quit his club Manchester United last October began last season’s campaign on a poor run of form. He struggled to find the perfect form he was in before injuring his ankle in the previous season. Things begun to get better after he astonishingly took a U-Turn to sign a contract that increased his years at Old Trafford by five.
His swift discovery of form alongside teammate Javier Hernandez in the second half of the season triggered Manchester United to their momentous nineteenth league title.
There came the summer of rest for footballers. As most footballers planned their holiday vacation, the only thought in Wayne Rooney’s head was how to substitute his awkward looking hair with a more exquisite one. How delighted he must have been after spending a whooping thirty thousand pounds on his hair transplant.
Rooney has been revitalized since his hair transplant and had that demonstrated at Manchester United’s tour in the United States. His total game play showed he was soaring high in confidence and his magnificent finishes made goalkeepers and defenders tremble at his feet.
The very impressive preseason display was conveyed to the start of the Premier League and had seen him score in all of United’s opening three matches including a stunning hatrick against Arsenal.
When the England squad to face Bulgaria was announced, all that the Three lions’ fans anticipated was to see Rooney showcase his outstanding form and send England to EURO 2012. And hardly did the England star disappoint after his energetic display was capped with a brace that saw England move a step closer to qualification.
Rooney’s hair transplant has been associated with his quality all summer. Superstitious Rooney fans would hope that is the case as doctors promise the hair will be better in a couple of months.
England face Wales at Wembley on Tuesday – a place where Rooney hasn’t found the back of the net in about two years – and all that the fans will be looking forward to is to see the hairy magic send Fabio Capello’s men on the brink of EURO 2012 qualification.
If Rooney’s hair proves to be the good luck charm by the end of the season, you could bet Fernando Torres will never cut his hair again and AVB will make sure Nicolas Anelka parts way with his shaving stick forever.
