There is finally some good news for Arsenal fans. French striker Olivier Giroud who has missed since the 2-2 draw at Everton early in the season has finally returned back to training after a long spell on the sidelines. The recent developments come as a huge boost for the Gunners who later take on Manchester United next week in the Premier League.
The striker was expected to be out till the new year after suffering an ankle injury and his return is earlier than expected. The Frenchman made his long-awaited return to full training at the club’s London Colney HQ on Thursday morning.
This is the second best news that Arsenal fans would welcome after Theo Walcott also made a return on Sunday in the Gunners’ 2-1 defeat at hands of Swansea at the Liberty stadium. Giroud will now compete with Danny Welbeck for a place in the starting line up.
Manager Arsene Wenger might spring in a surprise and might feild both of his striker as the Gunners take on United who look thin at the back.
