Manchester United striker Radamel Falcao has returned to full training and is in contention for their next game against Hull City. The Colombian had tweeted yesterday, “Back to training 100% and ready to help the team in the next games.”

Falcao had suffered from a calf strain ahead of the game against Chelsea which was supposed to be a minor injury back then. However, the injury was more serious than thought as he missed the next four games. With Robin Van Persie struggling to find his feet this season, the return of Falcao will be a boost for United as it gives them more options upfront.
The 28-year old hasn’t been at his best either as a succession of injuries since the Cruciate Ligament surgery in January this year hasn’t helped his cause. His only goal for United came in the game against Everton in October. He has played five times for United this season but hasn’t looked like his old self in those games. United face Hull and Stoke City, two sides with good physical presence which could be ideal for Falcao to test himself after the injury.
The on-loan Monaco man will be somewhat disappointed that he was absent in his side’s big clashes against Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal, but could impress on the big stage when United take on Liverpool in mid December.
Falcao has no other option but to play well and regain his midas touch as his permanent move to United is still in the limbo after a disastrous first few months at the club. If he continues to play like that carrying injuries then it’s highly unlikely that Louis Van Gaal will pay the hefty £43.5m for him come next summer.
