Palermo striker Paulo Dybala has admitted that he will not be able to turn down a move to the Premier League and represent Arsenal. The 21-year old has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier league with Arsenal being the favourites to sign him come January.

Earlier in the week, there were reports that indicated that the Argentinian was in advanced talks with the gunners. There was also some speculation that the London-based side were willing to match the fee of €42m asked by Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini .

Dybala, who has been in excellent goalscoring form this season revealed, “To know that someone like that thinks highly of me fills me with pride.

“I can’t deny that going to Arsenal and playing in the Premier League would be great, but at the moment I’m a Palermo player.”

He went on to add that despite the rumours, he is focussed at the job in hand which is to play well in Palermo’s next game against Torino and help his side staying up, “Different news stories keep coming out, but my thoughts are only occupied by Torino at the weekend.

“Our goal is to stay up, I can’t allow myself to be distracted from that.”

Dybala has been compared to Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero as both of them have a similar style of play. Both Dybala and Aguero are diminutive players but possess excellent pace to complement their finishing ability. He has scored six goals in 13 appearances this season and is the leading goalscorer for his side. He has been a key player in their squad and has helped them to 12th place this season.

The striker will definitely be a high profile signing for Arsenal come January as they have relied heavily on Alexis Sanchez for goals and the creative spark this season. Dybala’s addition will release some of the pressure from the Chilean’s shoulders.
