Manchester Uniyted have received a early new year’s gift as Spanish midfielder Ander Herrera is back in training after three weeks. The midfielder has been a key part for Louis Van Gaal’s side but a fractured rib halted his progress in his first season for the Red Devils. Herrera’s return will be a welcome boost for United in the middle of the park as the Old Trafford side will look to strengthen their third place in the Premier League standings.
Herrera though hasn’t played in his creator or number ten role for United but despite playing out of position and a little deep than expected, he has well enhanced his reputations. Angel di Maria, Daley Blind, Marcos Rojo and Marouane Fellaini are still injured but the players are expected to make a comeback quite earlier than expected. United play Stoke City at the Britannia on new year’s day after they were unlucky to be held to a 0-0 draw against Tottenham at White Hart Lane on Sunday.
