Arsenal always have a number of players linked with them every day of the year. Because of the huge differences in the players they buy in terms of age and what league they are in, there are often plenty of rumours linking them with cheap Ligue 2 players, for example. However, after signing Mesut Ozil, they’re now being linked with big players, which has definitely been the case this past week.

The Premier League is rich in talent, so much so that clubs often have too much quality to fit all in one team. Instead, they realise they may benefit from the talent in the future and so send them on loan elsewhere to get game time. Teams in the bottom half of the table thrive on these deals because the top sides would rather send a player on loan somewhere their player can gain experience of playing in the Premier League. There will be many players available for loan, and it’s the job of the potential suitors to find them:

Fulham are in a sorry state of affairs at this moment in time as they are currently languishing in the relegation zone, just three points above the bottom two clubs Crystal Palace and Sunderland. A loss against West Ham at the weekend would result in the Cottagers dropping to the foot of the table providing Crystal Palace win 5-0 and Sunderland win 7-0 (stranger things have happened). Fulham may be without a win in four games but they have a good chance to end that abysmal streak against West Ham today. However, they do face the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City and Everton in their next five games which has the potential to land them in real trouble.
