I will start off by saying that I’m taking the age of the teenagers now rather than their age by time the time they could make their transfer. So, if a player is 19 now but 20 in March and still hasn’t moved to the Premier League then, I’m not taking that information on board. Besides, I think one player in my list will fall into that category. If a player is 19 before the start of the January transfer window then they can qualify for this list:

You might say that this article has no relevance or is just plain stupid considering the amount of depth Arsenal have in midfield, but just hear me out. Every club who wants to challenge for the title must have two or three players in every position capable of making the starting line up. Arsenal do have that in midfield, but when you need consistency and you look at who can actually play defensive midfield well, then you’ll realise that Arsenal are quit bare in that position.

To take a break from my ‘who’s on offer’ series, I will be looking at five players that Chelsea should loan out in January to make room for any new signings and for those players that do go on loan, to gain valuable experience or just game time in general. Chelsea are famous for being very strict and blunt with players and staff. If you’re under performing or not part of the plans then you’re off. With that in mind, it’s highly likely that Chelsea will either sell or loan out players to reduce their squad size and introduce the reserve players if they have to. I haven’t listed them as being sold because I could only see one or two players that could be which isn’t much of a list in all honesty:

Next in the series of ‘who’s on offer?’ the Eredivisie. Again, for those of you that don’t know it’s the Dutch league. The Eredivisie is on the up in terms of interest and popularity which there are a number of reasons for. The first is that nine points separates the league leaders from 14th. The league is absolutely wide open this season, with seven or eight teams in the mix for the title. It’s currently Vitesse who lead the pack on 24 points with AZ Alkmaar just a point behind. The second reason is that the Dutch league sees a lot of good football played with a lot of talent on show. This frequently leaves the audience wanting more. The final reason I’ll provide today, although I could go on, is that the teams in the league often promote the use of young talents. Ajax are famous for it. Anyway, down to my list:

Next in the series is the Primeira Liga. For those of you that don’t know, it’s the Portuguese league. This league is very much like the Bundesliga or La Liga in terms of there are only two or three teams that really challenge for the title, but even in those three, there’s still that team who is expected to always finish behind the top two.

Next in the series of who’s on offer is the Premier Liga which, for those of you that don’t know, is the Russian Premier League. The Russian are known for having billionaires that buy a lot of big players, but they usually move on in time due to the fact that another club is offering more. Or in the case of Anzhi Makhachkala, your owner losing large stacks of money meaning you have to sell top players to balance the books. Samuel Eto’o, for example, was sold because he was on astronomical wages. Anyway, that’s the political side of football talking, not what I want to focus on today because this article is all about the players. The Russian league is rich with talent, foreign and domestic. You only have to scratch below the surface a little bit to uncover a vast pool of talent. Here are seven I’ve picked out.

Next in the series is the Jupiler Pro League. For those of you who don’t know, this is the Belgian league and, seeing how well their national team is doing, why not look at the country and the league itself. Obviously players like Eden Hazard, Moussa Dembele, Christian Benteke, Romelu Lukaku, Thomas Vermaelen, Jan Vertonghen and many more are making Belgium look like a country full of quality players, but you’ll realise that barely any of the national side actually play their football in Belgium. For that reason, I’m going to look at the quality that lurks in the shadows of the national team:

The next league in the series is the Championship in England, a place where youth from the lower leagues meets rejects from the Premier League to create an exciting blend football which can make or break players. Throw in a few foreign talents and there you have it: a league which is sometimes considered more exciting than the Premier division. However, what both leagues do offer is the fact that the underdogs come out on top more often than is expected. No one is safe in these leagues. Anyway, down to my list:
