Chelsea Transfers – Blues Willing To Meet £200m buy-out Clause And To Pay Messi’s Huge Wage Demands

According to Daily star, sources close to Barcelona forward Lionel Messi insists that Premier League leaders Chelsea are willing to pay his £200m buy-out clause. They also claim that the Blues are willing to meet his wage demands (which could sum upto £200m) for his six-year contract.

In November, Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho had described stories linking the Premier League leaders with Messi as “obviously not true”, but since the recent meltdown Barcelona have been in, reports in Spain suggest the player is at war with boss Luis Enrique. It was also said that Messi failed to show up for training on Monday, and Enrique failed to deny talk of a rift between the pair during the press conference on Wednesday.

“I neither confirm nor deny those reports. The things that are part of the team always remain in the changing room. I have the same relationship with all my players that I had at the start of the season. That has not changed,” Enrique said.

It has been revealed in Spanish media that there is a power struggle going on between Enrique and Messi, with the player favourite to win the battle. In case, Messi decides to leave the Catalans next year, Chelsea are ready to pounce on him.

Chelsea’s Financial Fair Play will be tested if Messi is willing to join the team at Stamford Bridge. But Chelsea owner and Russia’s leading billionaire Roman Abramovich could find a chance to the best player in the world too good to pass up.

It is also understood that a number of senior players are at odds with Enrique. Sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta was sacked following their defeat to Real Sociedad due to the club’s inability to win their appeal against a one-year transfer ban. Zubizarreta’s assistant Carles Puyol too quit his role and left the club in turmoil.

Ex-Arsenal Star Wants Lionel Messi To Join Chelsea – A Transfer Hint?

Former Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas has revealed that he would love to play alongside Lionel Messi once again, but this time at Chelsea!

The duo were together in their younger days when they were part of the La Masia academy and for three years starting from 2011 when Fabregas returned to the place where it all began for him after leaving Arsenal. However, a disappointing 2013 season with the Blaugrana made Fabregas change clubs once again as he jumped the ship to Chelsea.

The 27-year old told Radio Marca, “(Messi joining Chelsea?) I wish! Why not? I’d love that to happen. I’d be all for it.

“As a FC Barcelona man, I believe that Messi deserves to retire there for all that he has given the club. He is a legend that has changed FC Barcelona’s history. But, as his team-mate and friend, without doubt I’d love to have Messi by my side at Chelsea. (Is this a transfer hint?)

“This season Barca are Messi and 10 others. Messi has saved his team on many occasions.”

Messi finished the first half of the La Liga with a brace against Cordoba that took his tally for the season to 23 goals in 22 games in all competitions. In those 23 goals, 15 have come in the league and eight in the UEFA Champions League. The four-time Ballon d’Or winner is his side’s leading goal scorer this season despite the presence of Neymar and Luis Suarez which only highlights the fact that Barcelona are definitely reliant on him.

If Messi does decide to leave in the near future, then you would think that Chelsea or Manchester City will be the only ones in the Premier League who could afford him. However, it’s unlikely that he will move as he has been at the club for a long time and is already considered a legend there. He has scored an incredible 377 goals in 447 appearances for the club and at 27, we could possibly be looking at a few more to come in the future.

Premier League Top Scorer Fighting His Way To Fitness For Showdown With Chelsea And Arsenal Next Month

sergio aguero
Sergio Aguero Could be fit to face Arsenal and Chelsea next month

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has revealed that his side’s star striker Sergio Aguero is still a few weeks away from returning to first team action. The Argentinian injured himself in City’s tie against Everton in early December and was subsequently ruled out for a minimum period of a month.

The Chilean said, “Sergio has a torn ligament and I think it will be long before that tie, probably in the first weeks of January, that he will play.”

According to the Manchester Evening news, Aguero could take at the maximum of eight weeks before he returns for City, but there are chances that he could return earlier to face Arsenal on January 18th.

A few days ago, Pellegrini had said that Captain Vincent Kompany and Edin Dzeko will also miss the upcoming games and will return only in January as they recover from a hamstring and a calf injury respectively. With Stefan Jovetic on the sidelines as well, City are left with Jose Pozo, the City u21 player, as the only striker at the club. Despite the injuries, they have won their last two games against  Leicester City and AS Roma thanks to the good form of Samir Nasri and Yaya Toure. The duo will have to come with more goals if City are to maintain their title race credentials this season.

Late December will be a key  period for Pellegrini as his side will play four games in the span of 12 days without their strongest squad. In addition, they have tough games coming up in January as they face Arsenal and Chelsea in back to back fixtures.

Barcelona will be a tough game

City’s reward for qualifying ahead of Roma in the UEFA Champions league is a tie with Barcelona in what will be a rematch of last season’s game. Pellegrini admitted that he would have taken someone else ahead of Barcelona but said it’ll be a good contest, “It is a tough draw, as the club is one of the best teams in Europe. Maybe we both would have liked to play against others, but we must play Barcelona – and they must play us – and there is not a problem.”

“I saw the Barca game in Getafe, But the Barcelona of today, and the one in February, will be two different teams,” he added.

Spanish Star’s Agent Confirms Manchester United, Arsenal & Other English Clubs Chasing His Client

Martin Montoya is one player at Barcelona who has grown unhappy at Camp Nou due toe lack of game time on the pitch. The 23 year old who has attracted the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal could soon head towards the exit doors. Montoya was always considered a long term replacement of Brazilian Dani Alves at Barcelona, but new manager Luis Enrique has overlooked Montoya throughout the season, falling below the pecking order, now behind behind Douglas and is currently the third choice defender at the Catalan club.

The player would thus seek a move away from the club to get regular game time. His agent Juan De Dios Carrasco has hinted that his client could leave in the January Transfer Window. The news from English Media Outlet DAILY STAR has quoted Carrasco saying, “There will be a meeting with Barcelona to communicate a decision we have already taken. There are clubs interested in the player in England, in Italy and in Germany.”

Earlier Italian Media outlet TMW had claimed that reigning Serie A champions Juventus are also interested in the player but might be prized out of the deal by the English giants. Montoya however, had signed a contract extension in the summer but the situation has quickly changed for the player himself. It is believed that Inter Milan are also interested and in search of a right back. So which club will ultimately seal Montoya’s signature in the transfer window? Or will he change his mind and stay at Barcelona.

Spanish Superstar keen to complete Manchester United move in January

Manchester United could well have another goalkeeper in their squad by the time the January transfer window reopens. According to reports from Madrid based Spanish media outlet MARCA, former Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes who is training with the Red Devils for the past two months is now eager to sign a contract with the Old Trafford side. The report claims that Valdes is eager to sign for United now that he is a free agent after being released by Barcelona in the past summer.

The Spaniard who has immense experience under his belt has fully recuperated from his injury sustained last season, one that saw him miss the World Cup in Brazil. Valdes had earlier agreed terms to sign for French side Monaco but the club pulled back their offer after the goalkeeper got injured. It is believed that Valdes had a huge offer from Monaco and their had been a contractual dispute with the nouvea riche French outfit. Valdes has now however settled the dispute and is eager to get back to playing ways.

Should Valdes sign for United, there would be a sense of uncertainty with David De Gea’s future. The Manchester United number one has attracted the interest of Real Madrid who are keeping close tabs on the player. However, it would be stupid from manager Louis Van Gaal if he allows De Gea to move in January as the goalkeeper has been in stunning form this season. This could also mean that the out of favour Anders Lindegaard could leave the club. The Dutch star has already made it clear that he wants to pursue his career elsehwere and is willing to move on due to a lack of game time.

Aguero will try to tempt Lionel Messi to join him at Manchester City

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has revealed that he would like Lionel Messi to play in the Premier League with Manchester City. The Barcelona attacker has been linked with a move away from the club after revealing last month that he cannot rule out anything in the future.

The likes of Chelsea, PSG, Bayern Munich and Manchester City have been linked with the Argentinian but Aguero believes that he can try to tempt Messi to join him at the Etihad, “It will be difficult to convince him, but I will try.

“It would be good if all the great players were in the Premier League,” he told Mundo Deportivo.

Messi is contracted with the club until 2018, but there were reports that he could leave due to the ongoing tax evasion saga. He has won everything there is in club football at Barcelona, and after his side signed the likes of Luis Suarez and Neymar in the last few seasons, there is speculation that Messi could go elsewhere, though they are very premature.

The four-time Ballon d’Or winner had revealed last month, “I live the present. All I am thinking about is making this a great year and winning titles, and that’s it.

“After that, we’ll see. Football is full of unexpected twists and turns … it is true that I said I would like to stay there [at Barcelona] forever, but sometimes not everything turns out the way you want.”

The comments seem to have fuelled the speculation even more as the cash-rich clubs in Europe have taken notice. The likes of PSG, Manchester City, Chelsea and Real Madrid are probably the only ones who could afford his transfer fee and wages.

If Aguero does succeed in convincing Messi to join Manchester City, then it’ll be some achievement. City have signed some high profile players which has helped them become a top side in England if not in Europe, and Messi’s signature will simply reaffirm that fact.

Good News For Chelsea As Club Is Set Extend Star Man’s Contract

Mourinho hints Chelsea exit?

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is set to earn a new contract  in January after a brilliant start to the season which has seen his side top the league. Chelsea are unbeaten so far and have picked up 33 points in 13 games. Mourinho is contracted with the club until 2017 after signing a four-year deal last season and was being linked with a possible move to Barcelona should Luis Enrique be sacked at the end of the current season.

However, Chelsea will offer him a new contract come January that will all but end other clubs’ interest in the Portuguese. In addition, he himself stated that he wants to stay at the club, “I’m not here thinking about my next move because I don’t want to have a next move.

“I will have a next move if and when Chelsea decides it’s time for that. I’m here to stay. I belong to Chelsea, Chelsea belong to me.”

Mourinho’s team are in a very good position at the moment as they look like the real deal in the Premier League. He is set to win his first trophy in two years as he failed to win a trophy in his last season at Real Madrid and his first season in charge of Chelsea; a black mark in his impressive managerial CV.

The former Barcelona translator has a bittersweet connection with his old club as he managed their arch rivals Real Madrid for three seasons and prevented Barcelona from achieving three League titles in a row. He also stopped them from retaining their Champions League crown while he was at Inter Milan as his side beat them in the quarterfinals and went on to lift the trophy in 2009.

The 50-year old was close to winning a the league last season, but his attack line let him down. Since then, he has gone on and spent money intelligently as the signings of Cesc Fabregas and Diego Costa have been key in his side’s brilliant form this season.

Manchester United And Arsenal On Alert As Klopp Hints Reus Exit

Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp has admitted that Marco Reus could leave in the coming transfer window as the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool are being linked heavily with the Germany international.

Reus has been linked with a move elsewhere in the last two months after stalling over a contract in June this year and Klopp felt that certain players want to move abroad to follow their dreams, “We had very successful years and we couldn’t keep all these players.

“Not all of them stayed here. They had their own dreams their own situations different ideas, whatever. So we will see (about Reus).

“The most important thing is the story of this club will go on. We’ll have to do it with other players.”

Dortmund have had some high-profile exits from their club in the last few years with likes of Mario Goetze and Robert Lewandowski leaving for pastures anew. Despite that, Dortmund have kept going and avoided a catastrophe, that is until this season. With the team struggling to find consistency in the league, a plethora of stars could leave in the summer if they fail to qualify for the Champions League. Mats Hummels and Reus are two big names that everyone are after at the moment so Klopp will have his work cut out in the next few months or so.

Reus is said to have a release clause of £27.6m, a fee which the top European clubs like Barcelona, Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool can easily afford. The former Monchengladbach man had his heart set out on a move to Barcelona last summer, but they went and signed Luis Suarez instead. With the transfer embargo in place, they will not be able to sign players in the next two transfer windows which could be a chance for the Premier League clubs to sign Reus.
